ಬೋರ್ಡ್ ಹಾಕಿದ್ದೆ ನಾನು ಬೋರ್ಡ್ ಹಾಕಿದ್ದೆ
ಈ ಮನಸ್ಸು rent ಗೆ ಇಲ್ಲ ಅಂತ ನಾನು ಅಂತ ನಾನು ಬೋರ್ಡ್ ಹಾಕಿದ್ದೆ!!

ಕಥೆ ಕಚ್ಚಿದ್ದೆ ನಾನು ಕಥೆ ಕಚ್ಚಿದ್ದೆ
ಈ ಮನಸ್ಸಾಗೆ ಬಿಳಿ ಸೀರೆ ಉಟ್ಟವಳು ಅವಳೇ ಅಂತ ನಾನು ಕಥೆ ಕಚ್ಚಿದ್ದೆ!!

ತೆರೆದ ಕಣ್ಣೊಳಗೆ ಬಂದವಲ್ಲ್ನ, ಎದೆ ಮ್ಯಾಗೆ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸ್ಕೊಂಡು
ಮೂಲೆನ ನೋಡೋಕೆ ಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೆ, ಮನಸ್ಸಾಗೆ ತೂತು ಮಾಡ್ಕೊಂಡು
ಅವಳ್ನ ಒಳ ತೂರಿ ಹೋಗೋಕೆ ಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೆ !!

ಗೋಡೆ ಬೆಳ್ಳಗ್ ಕಾಣ್ಲಿ ಅವಳ್ಗೆ ಅಂತ ಸುಣ್ಣನ ಹೊಯ್ಕೊಂಡೆ , ಮನಸ್ಸ ಒಳಕ್ಕೆ ಸುಣ್ಣನ ಹೊಯ್ಕೊಂಡೆ...!
ಅವಳ್ಗೆ ಅಲ್ಲೇನೂ ಕಚ್ಚದ ಹಾಗೆ ಇರ್ಲಿ ಅಂತ ಸೊಳ್ಳೆ ಬತ್ತಿ ಹಚ್ಚಿದ್ದೆ, ನನ್ನ ಮನಸ್ಸ ಒಳಗೆ ನಾನೇ ಹೊಗೆ ಹಾಕಿದ್ದೆ!!

ದೀಪದಂಗೆ ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಇರ್ಲಿ ಅಂತ ಹಚ್ಚಿದ್ದೆ, ಅದ್ರಾಗೆ ಅವಳ್ ಸೆರಗೀಗೆ ಬೆಂಕಿ ತಾಗ್ತೇನೋ ಕಾಣೆ..
ನನ್ನ ಉಸಿರ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿಂತುಕೊಂಡವಳು, ನನ್ನ ಹುಚ್ಚ್ಚು ಬಾಯಗೆ ಪದವಾಗಿ ಆಚೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಬಿಟ್ಟಳು!!

Ahh, August Rain and those evenings!!

Evenings see nothing but hold in themselves those moments

Moments where the mind freezes and lets the head spin

Spin surrounded by long breathes that carried out the warmth

Warmth which made the body and cloths lighter

Lighter the way to make love and the guy who has embraced that love fly

Fly towards the sky which could never bound their love and never parting affection

Affection that stood n shone in their eyes that met before their lips

Lips fluttered like leaves that are dying to kiss the land that has just got wet......!!

Clearing or Removing Favorites on Android

Have you also wondered why few contacts make into favorites screen on your android? I was irked by seeing few contacts whom I have not called since months at the top of my favorites. I'm confused whether these are frequently called contacts or Starred contacts on Gmail or What else. I see this as bug in Android, which is not been fixed though there is a bug raised for this.

I followed many articles to remove a contact just from favorites but not from contacts itself. I tried out few possible ways like,(which did not work, in effect)
a. On long press on favorite contact you get an option to add that contact to favorite(flaw here??..adding again into same list?). On doing that, that favorite contact will be moved to the top of the favorites. Then again long press on it, you get an option to remove from favorites. I was happy to see that. But wait, that option just moved the contact back to its old position in favorites list!! Surprised to see it

I share here the simple way, I found useful and which actually worked for me.
In Market, download the tool called "Frequently called remover" by roys. This actually sorts our Favorites according to frequently called contacts. It removed the ones which had their place without any reason in our favorites(Though they were not my favorites :-) ).

Summary: Our life is the space surrounded by the fort, that we have built for ourselves. Nobody else sees this for but us. Few who enter in this fort,mean into our life see their existence as false impression and run out. Few do not even dare to see what is inside the fort, even when you lower the fort height. The fort gives you the false courage though there are no enemies out there.
We often lose against our lines or boundaries, sometimes wanting to come out of it but unable to.
May be because we think we are safe where we are. that is inside fort of sand. We do know how to get the things we like, but certainly we avoid ourselves to move out of shell to get them. Not only because we are afraid of moving out but because of several other beautiful things which we do not want to lose out in the way to get the things we like. O jeeva, stands for talking to life itself or may relate to soul for which this life is just another space it lives in. Sometimes we stuck being what we are, where are are and relying on time to change things for us.

We will have to go against the "comfort, will and want" to get the things we desire, often leaving out few things which seem moral and ethical. Our conscience never sleeps, though its dark out there, darkness is only for a period of time. In darkness see to the other end and you see the life. Life that you ever wanted to have.

What Stock to Buy and at What Stock Price?

Though many stocks tips providers put this up in their website’s page, many sites conform to the success of their tips by so called “data editing”. Well, Fancy numbers like 500% returns in a month play with newbie investor’s mind and greed.

Give it a thought, if they could make so much money or if astrology can predict a stock’s future why on the earth they will be posting their tips on a website. Certainly they would be investing themselves or be a billionaire by now and generously giving away their valuable tips.

If you like to be an investor, you got to be an analyst first. Let’s be aware, Stock price is proportional (with certain factors, inversely) to the fundamentals of company and market trends and fluctuations at that point of time.

Luck plays a role too but not over the calculated risks and supporting information you have collected.

My thought on above question is, do your market study, don’t hurry to enter any stock. Give your own time so see a company’s profile, fundamentals before you invest in it.

When I say fundamentals of a company it is not just limited to how much its stock has rose in last week or gained in last couple of months. It is little beyond that; it is the collection of factors that are expected to impact the value of stock in current market situations.

Few of them might be,

1. Assets of the company
2. Company performance over the years and past financial quarters
3. Debts and profit retention
4. News about the company in near future
5. Projects that company is planning to take up(This is quite tricky because many such news turns out be just rumours at the end market session. But believe they have some impact)
6. EPS, don’t really give a serious note for it but partly yes. Most people suggest going by EPS but know what is EPS and its significance before relying on that number. I will write EPS later on may be in next articles.
7. Volume of shares, bulk deals: Demand alters the price accordingly. This would be the basic fundamental anyone will be keen to see at before investing.
8. Income statement, revenue, balance sheet, competitor market breadth – These are few things which are not straight forward to understand for the ones who are from financial background. But yes, if you can understand it better, safe is your investment.

I re-iterate, just by going through company fundamentals will not assure you profit. It is the pre study you need to be doing to see your investment safe in that company stock.

Now questions that would flash before us are what other factors might impact apart from fundamentals of a company? Forget not about market itself, market fluctuations, turbulence in country economy, politics or for anything that matter.

Picking the gaining stock when the trend of market is up does not make us smart investors. Money you gain is to be retained not to be lost when trend starts downwards. Money we gain is also ours, which is our asset for our next investments. We tend to think like profit as money which flowed in by some luck and we tend to play without cautions. Last on this article, don’t get carried away by the fluctuations or emotions!

Betrayed by the present

Budget 2010 - on the lines that I have drawn

Im preoccupied by the conclusion that I derived for myself after analyzing what budget has for people like me. Sounds strange but im convinced with these “Budget does not really matter to a normal salaried employee like me.” Our financial minister(for that matter off course any politician cum economist) knows how to play dies near the hearts of middle class people. Above 30% of Indian citizens (im here referring to the ones who are below poverty line and/or uneducated) do not bother to give a thought about what budget is and what is in it for them.

Remaining comprises of two categories of people.
First being the Cattle of our nation i.e. Middle class people.
And the second group I refer as compass of the our economy


When I was referring middle class people as cattle, I had in mind that cattle carries any load without even bothering about what load it is carrying. It adjusts its own pace when the load increases or decreases. Likewise even us, being the cattle of our economy we bother only about how much load we carry than what we are carrying.
Hence Budget gets nothing but the change in load and we adjust our pace accordingly.

When Budget 2010 is considered though it appeared like we are getting benefited, owing to finance ministry to intelligence our gain leveled ground again.

Someone might just question what about new scheme? Are not we going to get any benefit out of it? Yes we are directly but the profit has been an invariant though you apply any budget to it. Indirect taxes, Petrol/Diesel price hikes, plausible food price inflation and to mention so many, will draw frown lines by erasing any left over smile which new tax scheme has gotten for you.

Am I sounding Pessimist or like the one in opposite party?

But if you are ready to set aside all your pain in your buns then, we can say this budget as growth oriented budget and proudly pat our finance ministry for that.

While concentrating on less deficit and investing on as many sectors as possible, budget tries to move the country towards development. Considering the focus on Healthcare, Slum rehabilitation, Education, Infrastructure, Power, renewable energy and other key sectors one would easily see the development of country in the eyes of Pranab, our Hon finance minister. (Sorry he wears spectacles most of the time)

Now the other category called the Compass comprises of people who have are directly affected by budget. Their directions change in the direction of our economy (partly subjected to the effect of global economy) and our finance ministry moves as the Compass directs it. Let me not dig about it (at least for now).

“Comfort” for everyone and development of nation must not be the two sides of a coin.
Hope future has a day in it, where I can say our GDP is in double digits still my contended heart sings with it.

Pandora and her jar [Pandora's so called Box]

Pandora, as in the Greek mythology, is derived from the word which has meanings like 'all' ,"gift", "gift from all","giver of all","all gifted" and she is the first woman. Greek mythology says she is created by Hephaestus. It was the order from Zeus to create a woman as a punishment for mankind. This was punishment for Prometheus' theft of Fire from Zeus(in the reason to help the mortals).

Prometheus known for wily intelligence stole the Fire from Zeus and gave it to the mortals. He has been known since then for his pivotal role. His character first appeared in the Hesiod's "Theogony" . Though the creator of this character ,Hesiod (8th BC epic poet) projects him as a helper of mankind somehow he remained as a lowly opponent to Zeus in the readers of Greek Mythology. He helped the mankind by giving the fire. Hesiod revisits Prometheus's character in his later work "Works and Days" and writes "Not only does Zeus withhold fire from men, but "the means of life," as well!". [ Here I stop about him which otherwise would take me in writing more about Prometheus and his heroics than our topic!]

This act of theft enraged Zeus and he sent Pandora as retaliation! She was accepted as gift(besides the warning from Prometheus) and she came with a Jar in her hands. That is the one history knows as the Box - Pandora's box.

Actually as the mythology says it was a jar.

Pandora's box also has its presence in Homer's lliad which is much older than Hesiod's Theogony.

Pandora was created from Earth and Water. All the gods her with many talents;Aphrodite gave her beauty, Apollo music, Hermes persuasion, and so forth. She was created with all the Seductive offerings from all the gods. That might be reason why her name is Pandora.

Epimetheus,brother of Prometheus married her after accepting her as gift from Zeus.
Pandora who was instructed not to open the jar anytime lets her curiosity win over her mind. She opens the Jar!
Jar had all the things that the mankind hadn't known till then. But nevertheless they were not in need of that[my opinion!].

The jar had "Hope" at the bottom of it but above "hope" there were all the evils. Thus she lets all the evils onto the mankind by letting the jar open.

Few things in the jar other than the evils as mentioned in the epics are ills, diseases, and burdensome labor! [Hmmm burdensome labor still prevails ;-)]

She hastened to close the lid of jar.In the act she was successful in closing the lid only before she lets the hope out of the jar, thereby only letting the evils out.

This was the answer in mythology to address the question "Why evils exist?". World's troubles started then and they have continued to challenge our mankind too :-)

Since then the word Pandora's jar has traveled from epics to our daily lives and thereby not letting us know few things by saying that is a 'Pandora's box'.. Correct it! Its a Jar.

Next time somebody says "Its a Pandora's box" then do not open the lid but make a hole from bottom and take out the hop.

Since we all need it! and our next generation needs it to stay calm even when living with "all evils"!

Before publishing this post, I take the question "Did Pandora really deserve the blame for releasing the troubles?". This post is brief enough not to know much about her. Here are my apologies because now I am really mixed up with feelings towards her ;-) Man,as epics say she is most seductive and she evokes strong desire in all who see her and wants to know her!!!!

Dividing my rupee - Budget and Its possible effects

Budget 2010:

What our Pranabji might consider and look into before this year budget:

1. Last year deficit of 3.3 Trilion rupees
2. Aid the sectors that are badly hit last year
3. Maintain the GDP growth rate
4. Low inflation rate and also reduction in public spending

Personal tax, Direct foreign investments, Service tax and SEZ etc (These might not get missed out in budget for that matter).

On the basis of last financial year and its effects on this year's budget,I take my word to say below are the sectors which might get attention in the coming budget.

Sectors that are likely to get relief or more attention this budget may include:

1. Infrastructure

Reason: Considering the fact that GDP has gone down when compared to last three fiscals, economic strengthening would include public investments in infrastructure and its development.
Last fiscal year's growth year rate 6.7% which is not in comparison with previous three years' consistent growth rate of 9%. But this accounted by global economic melt down

Possible effects: Infrastructure shares might see heights at the start of the year or just after the budget. Metals(specially steel) and cement industries might also get benefited by this welcomed change.

Say if Budget reads the way I m expecting(about this sector) then,

Divide your rupee such that you give more paise into this sector while doing or planning your investments. Sure this year it is going to earn you more than what you are expecting from it!!

2. Textiles and Gems

Reason: These are expected to get relief from Govt as these are badly hit by the economic slow down in the last financial year.

Possible effects: May not be predicted as this is not sure whether the relief will be directly from Govt or by providing low interest rates from banks. That is by forcing the banks to assist these sectors by providing funds at low interest rates.

Watch out before planning your investments in these sectors. I say "Wait"!

Now after writing down all these I feel there is a need to analyze year 2010.What it was for India?? I got this topic while I was thinking how shall I plan my investments for the coming year. If this information could give me a little idea how should I divide my rupee next fiscal,certainly it would help you too.
